What happens when it's 6-2 for Washington?

Are you going to cry some more how he is a good coach?

Halloween night at the dome, expect to see lots of mullets.
My wish for tonight is to see everyone sitting in Ken King's section dress as Nenshi.......
And a flames win
Go flames go

No, because the way the Capitals are built they should beat us. Some of you have gotten to the point where your dislike for the coach has you cheering against the team you are supposed to be a fan of. Bizarre.

This team is horrible at home. I fully expect us to go 0-7 on this home stand while we lose 3-1 tonight.

Mr. Puppet. Or I suppose It's Mr. Guy. Kudos to you sir. This is possibly the best you've ever done because of the text included. Thank you. Thank you 1000 times.

Boy does this forum need a win. Sooo many grumpy people around here lately. It's just a game everyone, and we're all cheering for the same team. Don't forget that.

Well said. Thank you.

Watched the Caps game last night and was pretty surprised to see some of the defensive gaps the Caps leave you. This is Johnny territory, so hopefully we see some of the holes they afforded the Coilers.

I also have a lot more faith in Smith than I'd have in Talbot this year. There were a few unstopables mixed into the Caps surge but we have an opportunity to outscore here.

Predicting a strong start, and 1 goal in the first. A strong 2nd, and then weathering the Caps storm in the 3rd.

3-2 Flames.

If the practice policy is the same as it was 3-4 years ago, all practices and morning skates at the dome are open to the public. You can call into the dome and they will tell you the times and where you can sit.

An underperforming Flames team in a game they shouldn't win?

Flames win. Of course.

I disagree. The Caps got worse in the summer the Flames got better. Caps are not a top 5 team anymore both teams are striving to be top 10.

The Flames trading their unprotected 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders for a 27 year old Dman is a clear message they want to win. Trading a prospect and likely another 2nd for a 35 year old goalie, while also signing a 45 year old legend is a clear message they want to win right now. The expectation the fans were sold this summer is expect this team to be a contender.

A 6-2 Caps win would take the Flames to 5-7 and 1-5 at the Dome. The panic button could easily be pressed at that point.

Stajan in the 3rd period last game had one shift that really stands out for me and not in a good way.

I think it was the 3rd period with 15 mins left. The 4th line was hemmed in their zone for about 45 seconds and the Flames finally get control from a turnover and he receives an outlet pass on the left side and goes to make a lateral pass to the right side opposing blue line and no one is there, he didn't even look.
Stajan then proceeds to skate into the the opposing zone with no real objective, as his linemates are changing. Because he was the last man, he realized he had to pressure the puck carrier. With very little enthusiasm or energy (because he was likely gassed from his now 1minute shift.
Stajan pursues the Dman behind the net and his hit consisted of leaning against the Dman and almost falling over from exhaustion and then takes another 10 seconds to get back to the bench.

All in, about 1:20 minute shift where he (and his linemates) ran around in their own end, a turnover pass, a gassed effort in the opposing end and looking absolutely lost while down by 2 with now 13 mins to play when all he had to do was take that pass and dump it in and change...

Is that coaching or poor leadership by stajan? I say both. The fact he's playing tonight pisses me off because he has not earned it

All I ask is for at least a few goals scored by the flames by the midpoint of game.

Feels like the team is shut out till mid to late 2nd period at least.

Bennett hatrick coming!

I'm assuming it's Grubauer in for the Caps?

Really need to get some points tonight -- if the Anaheim curse can be broken, surely the PK can let in less than two goals tonight and the bottom 6 can chip in with a goal or two?

How are the Caps not a top 5 team roster wise? They have Backstrom, our equal is...nope. They have Ovechkin, we can beat that with...nope. They have Kuznetsov, but we have...nope. They have oodles more talent up front, a solid back end and one of the best starting goalies in the NHL. They may not win the SC but they are sure built to do so and much more than we are.

This edition of the flames is starting to crush my soul.
I'm starting to not care again. I couldn't imagine how pissed I would be if I was a season ticket holder.

You'd really think this wouldn't be such a big deal to ask of a team, any team... but here we are.

Going tonight. First game I went to the Flames won 5-2 against the Caps so I'll say it's the same score for tonight.
