I'm a pretty useless hockey player having started as a 36 year old (7 years ago) but I'll throw my vote for the Nexus series. I truly noticed the difference in my shot when I switched. I can actually beat a goaltender with a snap or half slap from the wing now. I'm no longer just the garbage goal guy!

But it's a personal choice.

Yeah, based on that, I too would recommend the Nexus line from Bauer. I think you're a mid flex guy. An 85 flex, if you don't cut, will be easy to load your shots. You might find a little lag but you can learn to adjust.

Have a look at True though. They are new to the hockey scene but I've read that their tech was behind some of the best hockey sticks back in the day.
If you're a lefty, you can still find the original Xcore9 at Pro Hockey Life for a little over $150. Hockey Supremacy, based in Quebec, might have some old stock.

If you are a mid-low rec hockey player you should buy the cheapest stick you can lay your hands on, and spend the savings on beer for your team.

You'll certainly be more popular than the guy who scores 4 goals.

Because some of us live to play the game, and having a good stick makes it 100x better.

Go see Cliff at StickFix. He can make you any flex with any curve you want for around $100.

Adrenalin usually blows out all the old model sticks when the new models come out. I always just pick up last years model for half off. Usually about $150 and you get a stick that's only one year removed from being top of the line.
