Meh, it's not like it's a video of someone getting mugged, 9 times out of 10 if you're in a street fight it's because you're a dirtbag, two people like that hurting themselves isn't something I have anything against

I can't imagine not kicking the sh't out of someone who decks a girl. That was weird. And cheap shot guy. They both got it comin. I especially liked how the cops just got out, had a look around at the pathetic losers and then drove away.

And this is why a lot of people prefer suburbs.

I'd take hundreds of miles of urban sprawl, and 1 hr commutes every day, to not have to be exposed to lowlife losers with zero redeeming qualities like that on a regular basis.

NIMBY and proud of it.

It wasn't even a video about fights, it was a video with sucker punches, guys hitting girls, a lot of talking, but it certainly wasn't fights.

Personally if the Cops would have pulled out their guns and laid waste the collective IQ of the planet would have jumped by 10 points.

It must be so ... quiet. How the hell can you sleep with that? Right now there's jackhammers outside here. And lots of traffic. If it were dead quiet I'd have such a hard time sleeping. *shudder*

It must be so ... loud. How the hell can you sleep with that? Right now there's birds chirping outside here. And lots of nothing else. If it were noisy AF I'd have such a hard time sleeping. *shudder*

I hate to tell you this, but there's a very good chance you live near someone who is a victim of domestic violence. The "lowlife losers" are everywhere.

Related/unrelated: I barely ever look at Twitter anymore but I still get emails from them telling me all the amazing things I've missed. My favourite was an email recently that had the subject line "Crackmacs Tweeted: There's a woman pooping in Century Gardens right now".

My old office overlooked that park and I've seen so much crazy crap from there. So, thanks to Crackmacs for tweeting stuff I could look out my window and see and thanks to the general craziness of the area.

This is right at the top of the list of things I would not do including making a thread about it.

Lol, April 18th. Will not forget that for a while. It was beside the tree closest to the bear statue, fyi.

That's par for the course anywhere you live. Even if you live in a gated community with million dollar homes. What I don't see is scumbag drug addicts/dealers fighting and defecating in the street. And I'm not panhandled for cash every time I walk in the local convenience store.

Moving out of the City to Cochrane is the best decision I ever made. The city just wore out its welcome for me.

I'm not sure where the entertainment value is for watching people fight, outside of watching those who are paid to do it. When I was a teen, I was in or witnessed way too many fights and saw numerous, life changing consequences from them. That was fine and dandy when I was a that age. Fast forward 20 years and Ill still watch the odd UFC or boxing match, but now that I'm a father, I can't stand watching street fights. Fatherhood done softened me up. This video serves no purpose other than to generate hits by promoting how stupid some people in society are. Leave these videos to world star and live leak, imo.

And I too will take the quiet burbs over the clinks of a shopping cart full of bottles, people pissing in your alley and random weed offers any day if the week.

I really feel bad for the McDonalds workers at the 8th street and 7 avenue location. Just dealing with the bowels of society all shift. I used to duck in there from time to time on my lunch and it's gotten so bad I won't. McDonalds really needs to consider revoking that franchise. The last time I was there (and haven't been back since), some junky jumps up and sits down with a bunch of business people on their lunch and proceeds to pass out on them. They wake him up and ask him to move and proceeds to block them in and throw their lunches everywhere. Store calls police, some rescue group shows up and takes the guy away, before the police can get there and arrest him (must have been listening on the scanner).

I honestly don't think you can go in the place without being harassed by people for money.

As rough as that place seems, I'm sure McDonalds restaurants in some of the rougher neighborhoods in places like Chicago, Detroit, or any other US city with massive crime problems, make that place look tame.

I don't know, I do a lot of travelling (not always to the greatest areas, most of the cities you've mentioned), and the only McDonalds I've been to that is worse is in Seattle right on the border of downtown and druggyville, and even that McDonalds has been renovated and looks decent despite all the junkies that hang out there.

I've also never seen any of the McDonalds workers take the verbal abuse they do at the location in Calgary. It's pretty bad.
