On the one hand, great that Johnny is back and ready to play. On the other hand, I can see Kesler and Perry playing whack-a-mole on Johnny's hands tonight.

it's been almost 3 weeks (injured on Nov 15), but yeah, very fast recovery. Originally they said 4-6 weeks.

Johnny's hands got super healing abilities, here's a picture I found of them.

Maybe not healed all the way, but with the new mitts he can grip well enough and play. Those shields above might end up being commonplace if the NHL refuses to call slashing though.

Not sure how I feel with Johnny coming back tonight. The line-up has been playing well lately, and you know darn well Kesler and Perry are going to be targeting that hand all night.

I would of been okay if he had to hold off a couple more days for a little more healing.

It's a fracture not a bone broken in half. It's not superhuman at all to heal in the time he did even though it makes for great memes and jokes.

I've never played hockey in my life so I can't tell what the difference in that glove is.

What's going on with the new one? Is there extra padding?

Fantastic. Gaudreau is not the kind of player you ease into the lineup. Play him whenever he is able.

As for Bouma, no rush to get him back in. Not so sure he shouldn't be a healthy scratch when everyone is available.

Yes I feel the same. In addition, I hope his appearance doesn't upset their recent success by the "get the puck to Johnny" syndrome...like they used to do with Iginla.

I am happy we were able to establish success without Johnny. I think sometimes relying on one person too heavily can upset the balance of a team, and may have had something to do with our poor start.

Obviously improved goaltending was a huge factor for the recent success.

Just my opiniion

Here's a normal glove:

Looks like they've added a large extra piece over the top of the hand and possibly something at the cuff.

Yeah there is extra padding over the fingers. It looks similar to a goalie's blocker now.

For comparison, here are pictures of warrior's gloves:

That being said the equip manager should have added a super bright LED and a pressure sensor, so the gloves light up everytime they take a whack.

A fracture is a broken bone, they are one and the same. I haven't actually seen the x-ray or anything - did we ever get a diagnosis or anything? I am a little surprised he is back so soon, but his doctor knows much more than me.

Thanks for that, well a fracture is technically a broken bone but I said "a bone broken in half".

I've fractured my finger before and it's not that long of a healing process and I felt 100% in 3 weeks and I'm not super human.
