I remember when him and Monty formed the vaunted "double door defence"

i thought it was when sutter left ference in a parking lot, laughing at him and saying he had to crawl all the way to Boston as the flames bus drove away.

Well...that and a lockout. Oh! And they literally changed the rules thereby making most of those players obsolete.

In all fairness, that was a disaster. At least he won a cup before being soiled by the oil.

The Stralman giveaway ground my gears then and continues to vex me now.

By complete chance I ended up sitting next to this guy for a game during the playoffs against the Canucks a couple of years ago. I don't think a lot of people around us knew who he was (he had a shaved head) but right away I recognized him, leaned over to my buddy and said "holly #@!% we are sitting next to commie".

He is a beauty, he put back about 10 beers and told some awesome stories through the game. He is quite the character, he was wearing a russellmania shirt and constantly commented on how much of a scrub and how terrible Bieksa was and how big of a piece of s Burrows was to play against. It was one of my better dome experiences in a while.

I was literally just about to post that when I saw yours. Yeah that was funny. Had to have been on purpose.
