"Yes, the Canucks have reached the point where a good argument can be made that Vey is their most reliable defensive center"

@ThomasDrance last season

Although I'm sure he has changed his tune now lol

If your dad went to jail for trying to kill your mom, it might affect your play as well.

Now just watch the Canucks sign Josh Jooris.

Is there a chance that the NHL is getting a little too obsessed with left and right shot?

Dunno about you, but I feel like that's pretty major...

People may have preferred Jooris, but Jooris may have not wanted a 2-way deal. Or it's still being discussed.. none the less, solid depth signing and I'm sure GG provided BT some insight.

Hughson and Simpson will be happy to get him off the Canucks.

Perhaps this is a sign Stajan will be tried on the wing and Vey could be the 4th line C?

The Flames were maybe the team with the least amount of right handed shooters in the league.

It's not a matter of obsession, it's a matter of deficiency.

JG and Monny have always played with a LH RW.

Hudler
Frolik
Ferland
Colborne

Monny is the trigger man with a LH shot. It's time to get a natural RW on that line to see what can be done with spreading around the puck.

The Flames can't afford a true or bona fide top line RW, they are going to try a few guys and see who sticks.

I like it.

He was pretty terrible for Vancouver but I always felt he had more to offer. He seemed like a good up and coming player for LA a few years or so back. For AHL depth this would be a decent signing. Maybe being able to focus on hockey will help him turn tings around.

Did Vey not have some pretty decent reviews before the Canucks?

Interesting thought. Or someone to replace Janko on the farm if he makes the big team?

LOL at the Canucks giving up a 2nd round pick for him. Really though no harm bringing him in on a 1 year 2-way deal especially seeing they just cut loose a bunch of guys off the AHL roster.

I liked the deal two years ago for the Canucks when they traded a 2nd round pick to LA for him. he was a solid player for the Kings, but pulled a nosedive for the Canucks. Could be a good depth guy...AHL player, and can cover for the pro team in case of emergency. Solid reclamation project.

It's funny because he actually isn't
