Are we back to being happy about wins? Good.

Monahan's TOI updated on nhl.com to 24:26. Wow talk about Mr Dependable. Only Gio and Hamilton with more ice due to Brodie going down.

Ribero must be psychic - clearly knew the game was over at the blue line, so didn't bother backchecking on Backlund

You forgot him sticking to Filip Forsberg as if he's Lidstrom. Winger? More like HoFer!

Gaudreau is worth the price of admission. So lucky to have him.

Johnny has that rare combination of elite skill and creativity. He thinks the game on a different level and can execute at the highest of
Levels. Scary talent.

I like how Ortio does his interviews. Seems to have a level head on his shoulders, always crediting the team in front of him,yet he sounds very confident. Shows on the ice with his recent play. Glad Johnny was able to will it into a W. He was all over the ice tonight

Jokipakka with 23:13 tonight, and he looked pretty good IMO.

He's strong, a good skater, passes well, smart defensively and doesn't panic at all. Jim Nill is by all accounts a real smart hockey man, so that trade really has me wondering. I liked Russell, but given age, size, cap hit if I'm the Flames I make that trade straight up Russell for Jokipakka, never mind getting the pick and prospect to boot.

Joni Ortio. getting stronger with each game. I mean damn he's looking good. Starting to gobble up the puck more and more. Question for Erick Estrada, I know you've stated you have someone in the know who's informed you Ortio is not part of the future plans in CGY, any chance they change their minds? From what I've seen recently they really should IMO.

Boy can Nakladal rip the puck. He's a work in progress, but has been decent. Could be a solid bottom pairing guy, I hope the Flames re-sign him.

Wotherspoon has looked decent too. Hopefully he continues to establish himself as an every day NHL D-man. Can't have too many of those ever.

You say that now but wait till Smid and Wideman are both on the opening night roster next year.

You can't have too many. You can, however, pay them too much.

The library boys in front of us left with about 2 minutes left in regulation. We were sure to finish off the game cheering loud enough for us and them.

Not that it matters much, but at about 2:25 into the 3rd the Preds iced the puck. I could swear that Neal was on the ice for the icing and Forsberg came on for him in a bit of confusion when they had 6 guys milling around before the faceoff. Can anyone confirm if I'm right or crazy? I'd do it but I'm stuck on my phone in a parking lot at the Dome.

Fyp.

Stupid thing is, I really like the 6 defensive guys we started with tonight and I'd have no problem with them being our core 6 heading into next season. Engellend as 7th d, job sorted. I hope Wideman is gone before next season starts, don't want Wotherspoon, Nakladal or Kevin having their opportunities lessened by him.

Johnny's play tonite - Mr. Treliving just add another $0.5 mill per year to that contract you are getting ready!

P.s sure hope Brodie is ok ( ie just a sore rib, not a cracked one)
