Any home security firm recommendations?

We have vivint, the system works well with no complaints. My only issue is they will say you will get free equipment if you ever move houses during yor contract and that part is BS. We completed a move a year after signing with them where they said we would get free equipment if we moved and by the time our move was done we were probably a few hundred down when we completed our move.

Nest thermostat, Weiser door locks, Chamberlain garage door monitors, water detection, nest smoke detectors all operate on the existing wifi network with no monthly cost.

Spend a few bucks up front and save on a lifetime of monthly payment.

Throw in some nice wireless cameras and you could probably put together pretty nice "smart home" system for yourself. Any recommendations on cameras? (Nest cam? - formerly Dropcam)
