The bubbly logos and numbers are the most obvious give-aways. The stitching on the numbers is also puffy looking. On a real jersey, at that distance, you would barely be able to see the stitches.
----------
The font on the Reebok logo on the back is wrong. The top of the lowercase letters should all be the same height, as well as the angled side of the "k", but the top of the "k" rises too high. The round letters are also too round.
Here's the correct logo...
It's hard to tell from the photo, but also, the fakes usually have the Reebok logo embroidered directly onto the jersey with no backing. The real ones have the Reebok logo sewn onto a rectangular backing piece which is sewn onto the jersey.
----------
The collar is wrong. The real jersey has the collar come to a square edge, but the fake looks rounded. Also, the real collars are not made with the same air-knit fabric as the jersey. The stripes on the shoulders also shouldn't be the air-knit fabric.
Here's a close-up of the real deal from the Blues' website...
----------
The "Hanger Effect" on the inside of the collar that says "Est. 1967" should be screen-printed on the collar not embroidered.
----------
The yellow on the stripes and the numbers should be the same colour, but they're not.
----------
On the close-up of the numbers and letters, you can see a diagonal stripe pattern on the fabric. The numbers on real jerseys don't have that.
----------
On the rear of the jersey, you can see the small rectangle with the "X" through it just above the white stripe. That's holding on the fight strap. On all the jerseys I have, the bottom of the numbers overlap the top of the fight strap a little bit. Also, on the real authentics, the fight strap is reinforced to the jersey with another larger piece of fabric, so from the outside, you can see a larger rectangle around that small one with the "X".
----------
I don't know the Blues jerseys well enough to spot if the font is wrong on the fakes, but that's usually a pretty big tell as well.
With the Flames, for example, with so many new Monahan, Gaudreau, and Bennett fakes popping up, one of the glaring errors on a lot of them is the wrong number 3 being used.
A lot of the Flames' fakes also use the wrong name font. They use the old sans-serif font from the pedestal jerseys, not the serif font that the Flames currently use.
