Are there any coed or just adult baseball leagues that use a real ball and not a beach ball? Nothing against softball but I grew up playing baseball and played at a high level so theres not much challenge in it. It's good fun to meet up and have a few beers in the sun while whacking some homers but not very competitive.
Thats why its technically called 'Slo-Pitch.'

Hitting the ball is supposed to be easy. I have no idea why Aeneas has so much trouble with it...

Thanks!

That looks like a pretty decent league.

I would be worried about making the throws with a different ball. Are you guys seeing more errant throws (more than usual, i guess its still softball)

Northcrunk:

There are some mens' baseball leagues in town, no co-eds that i know of. They are mostly pretty competitive. Most teams practice (and are pissed if you can't) and they take up your weekend with tourneys.

We use the 2 ball system in our league and there is no more errant throws than usual. I don't find the size that different, and if you do have an errant throw, honestly it would be that way regardless of the size you use.

One thing we noticed since our league changed to this 4 years ago was more hits from the girls and it kept the defense honest. Most girls before had the game plan of trying to get a walk and not swing. Now they swing more.

It does look very cool, I would love to get back into a hardball league.
