Really intrigued with Julien Gauthier would be happy if the flames got him in the next draft.

I'd say that half the empty seats are people waiting in line for the tiny concessions haha.

Sitting behind an enclave of Russians next to the Team Canada bench. Love how in to it they are. Good on them!

Am I drunk or is the ice whiter than normal ice?

Marner looks dangerous every time he is on the ice

As great as Marner has been this game (he was clearly the best player on the ice), Strome has been invisible.
Also McDonald is not shy about playing the puck.

Ho-Sang is really a good hockey player too, imo. very highly skilled, and quick skater.

Marner looks very good. McDonald hasn't really been tested in the third, however he broke up a good cross ice pass.

Always hard to evaluate Team Canada goalies as they typically play on a hugely tilted ice.

There are 4 games in total, so you can still go tonight, Wednesday, or Thursday.
I'm thinking of hitting up the Thursday game vs. the Czechs.

God, TSN is a joke. Go to watch the highlights... 45 seconds of highlights from the game, followed by 3 videos totaling 7 minutes of bullsh** about Mitch Marner.

I'm conflicted on Marner after being at that game last night. By far the most visible player on the ice - showed great skill and patience with the puck and created lots of chances. However, in the third period, the Russians definitely tried to goon it up a bit and it seemed to effect Marner the most. I thought he made a fool out of himself by repeatedly sticking his tongue out at Russian players and making ridiculous faces at them. It was over the top and quite frankly really weird. Makes me wonder how he'll do when he faces NHL opposition.
One game is not a big enough sample size but after watching him last night, I'm now really curious to follow the kid.
