Anyway I just tried going on ticketmaster and couldn't get it to show me any tickets for sale; says "sorry, no tickets from venue currently". Where are you looking?
|
I just went on ticketmaster for game 1 there are plenty of seats in the lower bowl. All the little blue dots are available seats directly from ticketmaster at face value.

Are there rails on the stairways that might get in the way?
Sounds like 119 might be a top target!

200 and 400 are the suites I think.
I swear, if it were not for the Flames I would have no idea there is playoff hockey happening here. I do get a feeling of trepidation out this way, the Canucks have royally sucked in the playoffs lately and they are not exactly a power house going in this year either.
I have also had this answer from a few friends when asked if they are going to games 1/2...I am saving my money for rounds 2 and 3. I #### you not. Same guy said this a couple years ago when San Jose was in town.

The 200 level is suites and the 400 level is the lounge level. They probably got tired of explaining that you can't get a seat in the 200s without Suite access and some of the 500 level suites actually extend down to the 400 level.

There really isn't a bad seat in the house, for site lines and how close you feel to the ice it is a great rink.

Maybe there is a push back/ embarrassment to regular hockey fans to the SC riots.
The Canuck Jersey became associated with rioting.

No there is a rail that goes in front of all the seats in the 2nd bowl. It keeps people from toppling forward I guess?

Can confirm - been to tons of games at Rogers and there are no bad seats or bad sight lines anywhere in the building. My only complaint is that the concourses are cramped compared to the Dome.
I'll be at at game 2, section 304, 1st row!
I'm not seeing much Canucks gear around - at least downtown - but we'll see if that changes tomorrow. If we can just go ahead and sweep them so that they don't even bother to jump on the bandwagon that'd be greeeeeat.

That is for sure. Regular season home games have been terrible with the number of Nuck fans at the Dome. Hopefully it will be entirely a Sea of Red.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

No one here is talking about the Canucks at all. Terrible, pathetic fan base.
It's hard to even generate a good old fashioned fan rivalry cause none of them even care.

They are already looking past the Flames me thinks. In their minds, Flames are still the team of yesteryear full of has-beens, and they are still Presidents trophy champions with the high flying Sedin Sist... er I mean, the high flying biggest, manliest, toughest, hairiest twins the NHL has every seen.
I'm certain the bandwagoners will come out of the woodwork if they get past the Flames.

I got a pair in the 3rd bowl for Friday on ticketmaster just yesterday. Shocked they were still available especially for a Friday night game.

I disagree, all my conversations here have been of the 'it's nice they've made it but they ain't going far' variety.
I suspect most in town see this as the last hurrah of a team that won't get out of the west, tends to dull the excitement.

In my office in downtown Victoria, not one person has mentioned the hockey game @ all (and they know im a Flames fan). It's a pretty corporate office, so i'm sure I'll get flack for wearing my Jersey tomorrow - but it's happening. One person I did mention me wearing a jersey to said "no one gives a F*&K about hockey here. Wear the jersey".

Anyway, seeing several groups of three tickets in sections 121 and 122 for $172. And virtually two entire rows (the back row) in 328 and 329 for $91. If I didn't just blow $2k on a trip to Montreal and Ottawa, I would be mighty tempted to find a couple people and fill some of those seats.

As an aside, the Jets-Ducks series on Stubhub. Cheapest ticket I can see in Winnipeg is $650. Cheapest in Anahiem is $43. Cheapest *parking pass* in Anaheim is $34. Oy.
