I'm trying to stay positive. Come on Edmonton, just suck less for one night

Last time I tried being positive about the Oilers they lost 8-2. This time I will not be fooled and am fully expecting another beat down.
Being a fan of that team must really suck.

I just hope that it is so obvious tonight that the league actually fines them or at the very least, everyone will see them as garbage.

No matter what the fine is, Katz can definitely afford it.
But I agree with you totally that the league should fine them if they blatantly mail it in tonight.
The NHL is kind of a joke when you think about how they've let tanking happen for so long already. The 14 teams who don't qualify for playoffs all get 1 ping pong ball. Problem solved.

Most of the players have no incentive to lose if they want a job next year. The troubling part is just that they're not good enough to win.
You just have to hope those with every reason to play well do so

Hi Dickie Bachman
Can you do us a favour?
And steal one tonight!

If the Oilers win in regulation tonight, I'll write a haiku in every OOT for the rest of this regular season, every playoff GDT this season, and every GDT for all of next season.

I think these OTT scoreboard threads should be deleted for the rest of the regular season. Nothing but bad news almost every time since we started these!

OK so yesterday the kidney stone was getting better so I said I expect the OOT to be better, (it was slightly with LA shootout loss), so now things are feeling A LOT better, so I expect the OOT to be A LOT better tonight.

Man I feel for you...I've heard it's as close to "birthing" pain that a man can feel. Glad you're feeling better.

Yup it even sounds like it as i'm supposed to "breathe" through it. If you've never seen a grown man cry.. yikes
ER twice and pain killers straight to the IV
PS: helpful hint to others, don't drink 4 diet cokes a day

I'm expecting 11 goals for the Kings.
The Jets, however, will lose a close one.

If the Oilers win tonight, I will ignite a dumpster in their honor, and I will not make any posts in the ENG thread until the *Flames themselves are done this season.

Yeah if the Oil do lose, I hope they lose by at least a touchdown. Double digits would be preferable though.

Oil are horrific, LA is good, the ending writes itself. OOT never has and never will help us.
At least we can do it ourselves in the next 3 games regardless of OOT.
