This will be the first meaningful game the Oilers have had in months, and you know they're probably going to treat it like their Stanley Cup. Flames better not take them lightly or they could really screw themselves

Oilers are going to play this game like itnis their Stanley Cup. Flames simply need to match their intensity and they should win as they are the superior team in every way.

I suspect Bennett is in and will be dangerous all night. If he scores or gets a point remains to be seen but he will cause havoc out there with his speed and tenacity. I also think the top line is going to get plenty of chances tonight as the Oilers defense is horrid.

Flames need to stay out of the box as edmontons power play is deadly

All things being equal if both teams come out and play their hardest the Flames will win. If we don't take this one we probably don't deserve to get in.

I am so excited to even see Sam in the press box, I have told everyone no phone calls, no messages, no nothing when 8 rolls around. Go Flames. And to those that worry about containing their excitement about young Mr. Bennett, this is a special, special kid. He will be everything all of us think he will be. We were so lucky to get him last year in the draft. As for the game, stay with the plan and the Flames will win. I can't see any Oilers defenceman that can even try to handle our first line.

How excited will you be if he's on the ice?

next 2 games are must wins, then get 2 points somehow in the last 2 and the flames should be good to go.

I am very nervous about these games against bottom of league teams.

it would be nice to see the flames get ahead early in these games!

Go Flames Go!

Go Flames Go!

Calgary wins 87% of their games when they lead after the 1st period.

3rd best % in the NHL this year.

Pretty much what a bunch of people have said above... This is a huge trap game. Flames better be ready to go because you know the Oilers would love nothing more than to put a dent in our playoff hopes.

I will be wearing my newly arrived Backlund retro jersey. I wore it the first day it arrived, which was against St. Louis. They lost that game to put that jersey's record at 0-1. With a win today the jersey's record will be 1-1. Backlund's number is 11. I'm pretty sure this is a guaranteed win. If they are down after the 2nd period the jersey is going back in the closet.
