So what? Hes had a 76 point season, Hall's had an 80 point season, the Nuge has had a 56 point season.

They're still dead last.

Marshmallow points. They technically exist but carry no substance.

It's fair that WJC performances would boost the stock of Reinhart and Domi, but without it, Bennett's preseason performance (while injured) showed scary potential, and dare I say I was more convinced by that than anything from the former two. Reinhart hasn't particularly impressed me at any point this season, including his stint with the Sabres. Still don't get why he's so highly touted. Quietly effective I suppose, but I don't see star potential, at least not to this point.

Dvorak is the better player imo. It isn't that Domi is riding anyone's coattails, he just isn't the best prospect on that list, not even close. I don't think much of Button's ability to scout players anyhow, his brother is much better with having an eye for young talent. Anytime C. Button talks about young players all I can think of is Ruslan Zainullin. That trade set this franchise back for years.

The thing for me, between the two Sams, is that Reinhart isn't all that fast of a skater. And since he isn't all that big, not being particularly fast makes me think he won't have as much success in the NHL. Bennett on the other hand, has blazing speed.

I would argue that Reinhart has a little more offensive talent; both have high hockey IQs; Bennett has better wheels; I think Bennett has the better shot (I am not too sure about Reinhart's TBH); and Bennett has that balls-to-the-wall feistiness that I think will make him a star.

Personally, I much prefer Bennett.

And no way in hell would I take Nylander or Domi over either one of them. Full stop.

I CAN believe any name on the top of Button's list, even Domi.

I CAN'T believe Button still gets paid to write his lists.

I was really surprised to not see Kasperi Kapanen on that list. For being 18 and on a team full of everyone over 20, he has the highest PPG on his team.

Poor showing in the WJC. I think he was supposed to be the offensive catalyst for the Finns but I think he showed up for one game on the score sheet. Mikko Rantanen outplayed him fairly conclusively.

I too thought Kapanen was going to be gangbusters good and a hell of a steal where the Pens took him.

He still could be. I wouldn't put too much stock into the short WJC.

I never heard of Gostibehere before (but I see he is a 21 year old 3rd round pick of the Flyers that played 2 NHL games this season). Did I miss something, or is Button reaching?

He will be a player. Watched a couple games when Union was in the frozen four last year and to me he was far and away the best player on the ice for both teams.

Outside of Winnipeg... Our top three is significantly stronger than an other team. Debatable with Winnipeg
