Florida do their bit by comfortably beating Vancouver. Man the Canucks looks out of synch at the moment. 0 for 6 on their PP, blew a 5-on-3 and a double minor in the 3rd. Pretty much gave up once the Panthers grabbed their 3rd.

On the other hand though, the Panthers played well and they should not be taken lightly by the Flames tomorrow.

The Rangers also helping by currently leading the Kings 4-2 midway through the 3rd.

Just saw this on the rangers game, Boyle broke his stick and his teammate tossed his to him (probably like 5 feet), Boyle could have caught it but didn't because he thought it would be a penalty. Is it a penalty if you catch a thrown stick?

Yup, Flames got a penalty for it either last season or the season before.

I may be misremembering the rule, but I think that should have been a penalty anyway. The rule, as I recall it, forbids throwing the stick, not catching it.

So would I. At the same time though, a hot Iginla is detrimental to our own playoff aspirations. Course, we need to take care of our own business. Especially tonight and tomorrow.
