Unless they scratch Setoguchi or send down Gaudreau, he'll have to play on the 4th line.

Completely fine with this, let him ease his way in and get the nerves of a first real game under control before trying him anywhere else.

the call-up parade has begun!
honestly the flames played a ton of call-ups last season, and i'm expecting no different this year.
jooris, ferland, reinhart, granland and wotherspoon should all see around 10 games by the time we're all done.

I think we should throw Jooris on a line with Backs/Byron. With how he played in the pre-season I know he is going to want make his mark on this call up and I think his style of play would benefit Backs and Byron.

I'd like to see him take some top 9 RW minutes from one of the vets. He could likely fill Setoguchi's role, although Hartley probably wants to see if Setoguchi continues to improve.

Jooris should play on a line with Gaudreau like they did in preseason.. had instant chemistry... :P

Tough luck for Jones, but I'm happy he can stay on the payroll while our younger guys who earned it actually get to see time. Good for Jooris.

Stupid Burke/Treliving, why isn't Sven being called up 1st, what a waste.

Never change David Jones, never change.

I haven't hated Seto's game but that holding the stick penalty to give them yet another chance on the PP was brutal. He needs to start burying some chances otherwise I think we need to slot someone else on a line with Money/Huds.

I hope he really establishes himself in Adirondack so that he gets called up permanently before December. His first couple of games in the AHL this season look ugly though, at least statistically.

He's actually been pretty decent, generating probably the most scoring chances of anyone down there. His stats look ugly because Ortio has been doing his best sieve impression in the two games (I believe he's a -3).

Will be interesting to see where Jooris slots into the lineup and what kind of role Hartley is expecting him to play.

I wonder how baertschis dad feels about this
