He really hasn't done anything in the past three season but at $1M he could be a good support guy on an otherwise stacked team. $1M is a big pay cut for him but he probably knows that his career is over. This is probably his last and best chance at winning a Stanley Cup.

I understand I'm saying that playing for a million a year isn't that bad. This is clearly a contract he took to try and prove himself again but to consider him "fallen" is a stretch. I actually think he's going to do very well this year on the ducks.
