I would imagine they are hoping he can add to the teams third line more then scoring. If that is the case he probably has more likelihood of panning out to a degree then one of these guys being brought over to produce offensively.

No, maybe not. But the Oilers seem to be a great stepping stone for players to achieve their lifelong ambitions... of playing in the KHL.

He doesnt have to make the jump to the NHL, he'll be playing for the Oilers.
