Every single player who has 3000 hits is in the HOF - apart from Pete Rose (for gambling), Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripkin, Rickey Henderson. The last 3 are pending, but are considered locks to get in.

Every Single player who has 500 Home runs is in, or considered a lock with the noted exceptions of McGwire, Sosa, Bonds - who might not be locks because of the roids stuff.

Hes not the Bernie Federko of Baseball, because hes got the numbers, an incredibly rare feat.

In all this mess, I hate Bud Selig even more.

He should have the balls to release: What steriod exactly was in his blood, Approx. Amount and how much of X substance he had to digest to get blood levels to that high. Just so we don't have media types bickering back and forth about complete Bull.
It would be nice, but in all probability, the union had privacy details written into the deal. Selig's hands are likely tied. It's still better than the NHL, who didn't even release the name of any abuser until the second offense.

Guys like this should be denied the Hall of Fame. You might be talking about more than a decade of substance abuse colouring a lot of his career.

As far as I'm concerned, Roger Maris still holds the home run record. I never got caught up in the steroid induced home run races of a few years ago. They seemed like a joke at the time and look even worse now.

Signed . . . . a bitter Cowperson.
Agree completely except for Roger Maris. Babe Ruth hit his 60 homers in a 156 game season and is the true home run record holder. Maris needed 162 games to hit his 61, a great feat but not the true record. [I was hoping for Mantle to break the record as him and Maris were neck and neck for most of the season]

Bonds,McGwire et al are a disgrace to baseball. The commisioner, management and most sportswriters are also a disgrace for condoning steroids. I'm glad Conseco blew the whistle on these cheats.

Ryan Franklin gets busted today. I wonder if we'll see a bust a day for the rest of the season. This whole steroids in baseball is getting pretty weak. I wonder if Brady Anderson ever went on the juice to get from being some skinny guy, to a 50 home run hitter?

As far as I'm concerned any home run totals in the past 15 years should be thrown out because of the juice. There were a lot of guys on it, and you can see because this years HR leaders wouldn't even be on the leaderboard in years past at this point in the season.
