Leafs are going no where...up by one goal in the 3rd in a must win and they decide to run and gun...Dion standing in front of the FLAMES net
Flames effort was okay, obvious holes in the lineup

Have to say that I miss Smid.
Brodie ####ed up big time on that 3rd goal. I know he was pushing to generate some offense, but that was bad. At least you could tell he knew it.

So completely outclassed. Just looked lost because he constantly got caught by the speed of play. Can't imagine AHL players give him so much more time to justify how slow he was processing the play. Maybe just an off night.

Wanted the win but not at all surprised at the loss.
Team we hate: check
Struggling and on a long losing streak: check
Ridiculed Player on long scoring slump: check
Sounds like the recipe for a Flames loss to me, we are perennial slump busters. Call it our western hospitality.
Not all is lost though, the Isles passed us so we now are in the top four and this gives the Leafs fan base just a glimmer of hope before they are inevitably crushed.

Or it's his 3rd ever NHL game.

I missed most of the game because I didn't get home until after 7:30pm. How did the new guy play tonight?
Sucks to lose and it seems to happen whenever they head down to Ontario. Maybe there are too many distractions. Oh well.. this season is already a washed and all I care about is the Flames showing some efforts every game (win or lose). Of course I am always happy whenever we beat the Canucks and the Oilers.

Another one goal game. I'm cool with the losses as long as the team competes or at the very least keeps it close.
Bennett or Draisaitl will look great in a Flames Jersey.

I suppose this is the Flames' April Fool joke on us. I, for one, am not laughing. God almighty do I hate the leafs.

The way I look at it is we played like an ass that sat in Tabasco (read: itchy and burny) and they still barely beat us.
I'm not bothered, but I don't hate the Leafs as much as others.

Flames started playing poorly in the Anaheim game and were really bad against the Rangers. It was only a matter of time before the bad play started turning into losses.
They are trying way too hard to make the pretty play. Go to the net and shoot the fricking puck already.
Oh well, going 1-4 or 0-5 on this road trip would help for the draft position at least. At this point, the culture is there, the effort is there. If they get some bad bounces a couple of times, I won't lose any sleep over it.

Yup, I agree that is entirely the reason he would be out of place. Let's hope he improves game over game from here on out.

Ugh I hate losing to the leafs. Even more so clarkson scoring, especially after making fun of him to all my leaf friends who I meet tomorrow for wing/beer night.

I just like that this will give the leafs a bunch of false hope. It'll make their epic fail that much better.

I think the difference tonight was in our veterans. Namely Glencross, Hudler, and Cammelleri. They were floating soft passes through the slot all night and getting picked off every time.

That's part of the reason I think we're worse next year. Cammy will be gone, and Glencross might get extra pouty. It will pretty much be Hudler and Stajan up front all next year.

meh, not too torn about it. Was nice to see the game in person.
$11.50 for a medium, $15.50 for a large beer seems a bit much though
