Can see why he would extremely attractive to us. No cost, 25 years old, righty with a deadly shot and has started to wipe the slate clean in regards to injury.

Only have to wonder about his board work and skating.

We should grab him... Gio played outside of the NHL for a biy and came back better than ever. Maybe Mueller will be the same? Doesn't hurt to offer a 1 year, 1.5-2m contract.

RW/C with a right handed shot.... Someone we could use.

.54 PPG in his career isn't bad either.

I thought he was great with the Avs (until Blake destroyed him). Always hoped that he would get (and stay) healthy, as he is a pretty talented player.

***Totally off topic, but does anyone remember there being something strange about Mueller? I want to say either that his parents were very controlling of his life or that perhaps he was ultra-religious or something. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else?

McGuire was saying on radio back in 2010 that there were some questions about Mueller's dedication to professional hockey and that Mueller would be out of hockey soon. McGuire indicated that religion was taking priority for Mueller.

I believe Mueller denied it all later.

I remember this guy was pretty good back in the day. Worth a risk of a short term contract and the Flames certainly will have cap room.

The good thing is the Flames don't have to be cheap on the dollars to get him here. Say Cammy asks for six million, but you could get an equally productive Mueller for three million. You can then go out and still overpay of take on a bad contract. Not that the Flames couldn't even if they signed Cammy to six million a year mind you

Yeah I definitely think it would be worth giving him a shot. I always liked him and he is still quite young.

I had some interest in the Flames signing him a couple off-seasons ago when there were rumours floating around.

Don't really have a ton of interest anymore. Would rather have our prospects play.

On rw the flames prospects are Poirier, Hanowski, Jooris, Ferland(?). Pretty shallow on depth and pretty much all of them need a tad longer to ripen IMO.

Mueller fits a top six RW role at best and third line er at the very worst.
