Fun game, but I'm really, really bad. Not used to this type of game at all. I actually find it kind of tough understanding who to shoot, even when using the map.
Gonna try to put in a few hours today and figure things out.

I have it on PC and am getting totally destroyed...might be the fact I am playing on the couch with a controller and most are using a mouse/keyboard combo. Hopefully I get into some games with people of my skill (or lack there of) level
I'm having a tough time figuring out who is on my team, who isn't, and who are the NPCs. I burn half a clip thinking my teammate is on the other team!! LOL
Easy trick for leveling up quickly - use the Smart Pistol and just obliterate NPCs all round. I think I had something insane like 6 Pilots, 2 Titans, and 38 Minions in one round.
Went from Level 2 to Level 16 in pretty short order that way.

Maps are extremely well designed. The play from Mech to Pilot are insane! I'm not very good, but it's amazing to watch some of the players that really get the system.
I'm more of a PC guy but have been practising on BF4 on xbox one and I can be somewhat dangerous.
Just got this game the other day for PC, it is pretty fun. I feel terrible at it though, don't seem to last long in a Titan at all. Are there many people here playing on PC?

You're going to get owned because tons of people have prestiged and have better unlocks. I hate that you can't play casually without being at a big disadvantage.
I'm not sure I agree that the higher levels come with vast improvements in kit/weapons (rather, merely more options). For example, the carbine's definitely the most well-rounded and easy to use gun in the game.
Also, you reset to all of the default stuff when you regenerate to the higher prestiges. In that way, I find that this game has far less of the "get owned by higher XP" stuff than a game like Battlefield.
I also recommend switching to the "bumper jumper" control scheme for those playing on console. I only did so recently and it's a pain in the ass to get the hang of for a couple days, but makes you a better player in the end in my opinion. It switches jump from A to the left bumper and allows you to continue aiming with the right stick while wall running and whatnot, and makes the Strider a deadly titan by allowing you to dash in circles around an enemy titan while keeping your crosshairs fixed on them.
I'm loving the hell out of this game. It's a few weeks on, but it continues to be nothing less than electronic crack for me.

I was just checking out the control layouts and I think I'd even go a bit further and use the evolved layout (http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/03/...uts-available/) so I'm going to have to change it next time I go to play
I considered it also as I prefer having crouch on the right stick and melee on B, but Evolved only moves pilot jump to LB and not Titan dash, which I've been having some decent success with.
Only a day away from the 360 release and still no videos or screenshots from that version. I'm really curious to see the reviews and I wonder if gaming sites even got a early review copies. If they did you would figure somebody would've leaked a screenshot or video.
I enjoy the new maps. Swampland and War Games are great, and Runoff is satisfactory enough. They add to an already awesome repertoire of maps in the main game.
Picked this up last week, after waiting 7 days and 7 night for the update to finish I've finally been playing. It's a lot of fun, I'm a big junkie for large fighting robots and it's great in that regard. Find myself enjoying being outside the mech just as much though. They've balanced the weapons well. Anyone who's up for a game leave your gamer tag and I'll add you up
Yeah this game's still awesome. I revisited it a couple weeks ago to play the newest DLC after a bit of a hiatus, and it was just as fun as day one almost. I've sunk an ungodly number of hours in to Titanfall, but time and money well spent.
