Rinaldo with a really strong game. Emery looked sharp in bailing out the defense.

-Thought Wideman and Russell really struggled.
-It's impressive how consistently good Giordano and Backlund have been.
-Cammalleri hasn't looked very good as of late. Poor timing for that.
-I wanted to see Ortio, but it makes sense to run with Berra while he's playing strongly. Not sure about that second goal as every replay I saw didn't really show how it bounced/deflected.
-Didn't think he had a great game but was very impressed with Colborne's speed today
-Monahan is so smart. He gets good chances every game.
-Hopefully Smid is okay.

Decent effort, but Emery played well again against the Flames. Not enough prime scoring chances and it seemed like there were a lot of missed nets.

Cammi played like he wants to stay a flame.
Hudler seemed disinterested.
Wideman was a fricken trainwreck.

A good time to break for most of the team.

Monahan looks a little fatigued to me. Don't think he's played great lately (but it says a lot that he has still been at least average and been putting up points). I hope(if it's allowed) that he and Colborne are in everyday during the break looking at video and learning, if not on the ice. I see special things from that combo.

I also hope Cammy and Stempniak come back rested and on fire!

I hope we get a healthy and motivated Glencross. I miss the gritty agitating SOB, and he is very capable of being Brian Burkes favorite player on this team(gritty, TRUCKULANT and capable of puting the puck in the net.

At very least we haven't lost 7 in row (hey look, Luongos favorite number. Bodes well for our Olympic hopes).

25ish games to go. Likely at least 2 trades and more oiler and Canuck suckage, as well as solid flames efforts to look forward to.

I can't say I'm disappointed I woke up for this game, and while I hoped for a win, I didn't hate the loss. Flames outplayed them most of the game, but it seems like Emery owns us, particularly in afternoon games.

I guess it's win win right now! Game win means good development, game loss means better draft position(=win). I still think the hockey gods look back on us at the end of the year and see that we made the oilers look stupid, the Canucks look stupid, Torts look stupid, and we put in an honest effort , and so Ekblad will be ours. If not, Reinhart.

It will require 3 Oiler wins combined with 3 Flames losses in order for Edmonton to finally leap us in those 25 remaining games. Doesn't seem like much, but it's been next to impossible for them to gain enough ground to even threaten us in the first 2/3 of the season. I really wouldn't mind them jumping ahead in the last stretch, so long as we're losing respectably and keeping it close like we have done extremely well so far, while our kids continue to put up points (want to see both Monahan and Backlund to break 20 goals!)

I really enjoyed this game,it helps when it starts at 6pm for us , but to me it really showed the difference between the flames, who are surviving on hard work rather than size and skill, versus a team that has both of those things in spades.

A good road game from the flames and nice not to give Emery the shutout.
