Awhile ago, but the 1993 entry draft should be very comforting.

Ahead of Daigle, even.

Not only did he trade up to get Pronger he was open in saying that Pronger was ahead of Daigle. It could be some GM showing support for his pick but it's not like he did that when Ryan was drafted after Crosby, and Daigle was just as hyped as Crosby.

If I recall correctly, it seems Burke is one of the guys who does the most trades for conditional draft picks.
