Good luck you guys. At least you're both getting out of your respective places soon.

Our hurricane season starts in a few days. I hope no one gets a killer 'cane.
I have at least a year to go here so I selfishly hope my house won't be destroyed before I get a chance to sell it, although I certainly don't want that to happen to anyone.

I have seen some small tornadoes on the ground here, but nothing like you guys have. I have also seen some enormous water spouts out over the ocean. They are so huge that from a distance they look like they are about to hit land at any moment. Then you get to the beach and see they are quite far away.

Turns out the news reports were a little off geographically. The tornado passed about 3 miles south of us. Not even close! Still no power though.

I just spent three years in Oklahoma. Had to run and seek shelter twice when the sirens went off. For someone who grew up in quiet/calm Sweden it was quite terrifying.

Stay safe guys, the fiancé hates tornados and anytime we have thunder she freaks out since the one two years ago.

So far this year it's been quiet over here, it's been rather cool too. tomorrow it's finally going to hit 90*

On a side note, if I ever think to ask my dad for pictures and the story I will post them but my father's uncle was sucked up into a tornado when my dad was young. He was carried a couple miles away and sat down in a ditch. He went in fully clothed and came out completely naked with just a few scratches. He was completely fine. The details and the story are hazy but that's what I remember from it.
So that's the story they told you eh.

That is a good one I gotta remember it, "my clothes!?? I got grabbed by a tornado!

This one is huge. Huge amount of debris swirling around and full wedge. Saying at least f4 right now. 1-2 miles long.

Now just went to rope

And fizzled.

Hopefully another won't spawn. 190-200 mph speeds from the storm chasers

Anyone know if cell phones down in OKC?

I got a friend who lives downtown OKC and works just outside of it and haven't heard from her since it got nasty...

I'm sick to my stomach watching CNN. The destruction is enormous. Hopefully everyone is safe.
