Took Rangers against the Caps, taking them against the Bruins. If they get firing on all cylinders I could see them being the team to come out of the East, Lundqvist gives them that chance.

PLEASE Boston in 7. The Rangers are so boring.

Boston in 5. The rangers and the capitals shouldn't have been in the playoffs.

The Eastern Conference sure looks weak compared to the West. I have a feeling the Rangers will choke the life out of the Bruins like they did the Capitals but the Penguins (going to roll the Senators) have too many scoring lines to suffocate for an entire 7 game series.

Meh.
Rangers win would be good for our pick, right? So yeah, go Rangers.

Excellent. This means it's officially marked then.

i refuse to cheer for the rangers.
Dullest team in the NHL for several years now.
it's shameful that their postgame coach interviews are more lively than their play on the ice most of the time.

I remember it well, but this seems different. The team has been so brutally inconsistent all year, even the game 7 comeback showed the two sides of the Bruins this year. That's going to catch up to them if they don't get it together in a hurry.
Don't get me wrong, I want them to get it together more than anything, nothing would make me happier than being wrong. I bleed black and gold and my heart says they can go all the way, but my head says this team is just missing something keeping them focused this year.

Does anyone else think Jagr needs some new linemates? The 3rd line definitely isn't where he belongs. He has zero chemistry with Kelly and Peverley. He had a couple shifts with Marchand as well where it just looked totally awkward, nobody seems to know where to go when he has the puck.
I think he'd fit great with Krejci, but obviously you can't break up that top unit. Julien needs to figure something out, to me that 3rd line is a waste of space right now

Agreed but right now I view it as a question of cheering for the Flames. Rangers win = better Flames draft (and worse Blue Jackets draft). It would be pretty funny to have the Rangers and Kings in the final 4 so that the BJs end up with both of their acquired picks in the 27-30 range.
As much as the Bruins are my team in the East, I am okay with them losing, and thus the Rangers winning, in order for the Flames to benefit. For all the conversations about what it would take for the Flames to trade up a few spots from any of our picks the answer is as simple as we need the Rangers, Wings and Sens to win.
I'm still okay with the Pens going all the way for Iginla but I will cheer for the Hawks and Bruins to fall for the Flames.

The Rangers served their purpose, now Tortorella and his crew can piss off and die.

Same here. They're the most boring to team to watch. I hope they're swept.

I'm looking forward to hearing Tortorella and his post game rants and spats with writer Larry Brooks.

The refs will be watched more closely since the NY vs WSH has put the officiating in a bit of the hot seat.

Bruins in 5 - they OT winner gives the Bergeron-Marchand-Seguin line some much needed confidence, and they come out firing, along with the Krejci-Lucic-Horton line.
Bruins drop game one, but win 4 straight to take this in five.
