Harden is the big loser here, Houston is going nowhere anytime soon and the teams around them are all better. Good trade for OKC, Martin is as productive a scorer and I really like Lamb. Can't imagine KD or Westbrook are too psyched but I think Harden got exposed in the Finals as being too one dimensional on offense and a liability on defense.

LMFAO. Are you serious with that garbage? OKC fleeced Houston here something really bad. Again LMFAO at you thinking LA will get 2 easier titles now.

OKC is worse this year yes, no doubting that, but not by much
Martin is a scorer pure and simple and will do that for OKC just like Harden did
Lamb has all stat potential, the Toronto/Dallas 1sts are both potential lottery picks, and OKC has financial flexibility going forward
huge win for them
terrible call for Harden 8m over four years is less than he would get in playoff win shares + marketability

No discounting that harden is a a pretty good player, but that return seems pretty sweet for OKC.

Lakers are overrated. Old team that will log a lot of minutes because they have one of the worst benches in the league. Love Denver and OKC in the west.

You know i've seen some pretty bad homer-ism. But PeteL takes it to a higher level when it comes to the Lakers.

How in the world are they overrated ?
Dwight Howard, Pau gasol, Kobe Bryant , MWP, Steve Nash.
Jameson, hill, Meeks off the bench.
Get real. Then again you are a Canucks fan.

Lakers are one injury away from being in deep trouble. Kobe is on the decline, MWP is a loser, who knows how Nash is gonna blend in...Lakers could be great, but its not a guarantee, especially in a deep Western Conference.

I wouldn't keep your hopes too high PeteL. Their bench isn't really that great and they are a fairly old team. Nash, World Peace and Kobe aren't in their primes anymore and Gasol is getting up their in age. Howard is the only player that is going into his highest peek and he still has quite a few things to work at with his game (free-throws, post moves) even though he is pretty damn dominant. Miami looks like a far better team on paper and they are not going to let that title go away. I agree the Lakers have a strong team but they need it all to come together before you start talking ring.

Harden was a bench player for the Thunder... I would say the Thunder jobbed the Rockets here. Seems as if Laker fans are as delusional as Oiler fans ( at least the OKC Oiler fans).

How is Miami stronger? With bosh spice as center?
Kobe was 2nd in scoring last year, Nash still put up 10 plus assists a game, gasol is one if the best passing big men in the game even if he's soft. I've watched the pre season and MWP has looked great he's locked in.
The bench isn't weak at all it's much improved from a year ago when we had Troy Murphy josh mcroberts and such bums coming off the bench. Jodie Meeks is a deadly 3 ot shooter and Jamison averaged 17 ppg last year.
You can try to discount it however you like, but ill see you boys in June when Kobe gets #6.

A bench player that put up 16 points and almost 4 assists in 33 minutes of action a game.

Lakers will be good but to count out Thunder cuz they lost Harden is just plain stupid. Martin is a good scorer so he will replace Harden's production. Not to mention where the Lakers are getting old the Thunder are maturing, gaining experience, another year under Durant and Westbrook will help them a lot.
It'll come down to Lakers vs Thunder in the WCF with Thunder going to the finals again.

Yeah it's easy to come off the bench, get space, and put up points when you have Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook getting most of the defensive attention.

Bosh Spice? I like making fun of Chris Bosh as much as everyone, but he's proved he's a huge asset to the Heat and a top tier talent. The Heat are still the team to beat and I'd take them over the Lakers any day. Adding Ray Allen makes that team even stronger. But I'm going to start sounding like a Laker fan, which I can't stand. It's not even about the team because every post is followed by how many rings Kobe has. Lakers fans just drink too much kool-aid and talk down to the rest of the league.
Also PPG is an incredibly overrated stat for someone like Jamison and pre-season means nothing for Metta World Piece, nor does it for anyone else in the league.
