What is eating Romero? He didn't pitch very well 1/4 way into the season and one would hope he can get out of his funk. He was really pitching inconsistently and now he is really struggling. The Jays need him to carry the load and give them a chance to get into the WC race with 5 gbl. It is a tough race but they are close enough with about 1/3 of the games left to play.

These Jays really need to put some wins together.

It's over. Time to look at 2013 and hopefully solidifying the pitching rotation. I'm just a casual fan but it's getting tiring year after year seeing poor pitching sink this team. I realize that injuries have played a part but every year it seems the pitching melts down wether it be the starters or the bullpen.

Sadly I agree with this. The season is over. I thought maybe they had a chance until they entered this series with Oakland. Injuries have caught up to the Jays. Will be interesting to see what AA does in the next few days.

In my view, season has been over for awhile now.... Jays simply don't have the depth at Pitching in terms of the Starters..... It was going to catch up to them sooner or later.

I am sure AA was or is trying to find more Starting Pitching but the asking price is to high........

I would guess AA would do very little in terms of trades at the dead line.

Geez! Bad enough the pitching is horrid, but the bats are also getting pretty pathetic. EE's basically been the only one doing anything of note hitting wise over the last week or so but he now seems to be cooling off somewhat.

Omar Vizquel just doesn't have enough left to be a major league player. He definitely seems to have coaching potential though.

Good bounce back game today, I missed the first 6 innings but liked what I saw in the 7th and 8th.

Back to good ol' .500.

Avoiding the sweep is good.

That's really a shame because AA could deal some decent players to teams looking to load up for the playoffs, or even bubble teams desperate to make the playoffs, like the A's. We could add to our already very deep pool of prospects.

I guess I see the Jays as a seller.

I'd be shocked if the A's gave up anything of great value, in terms of prospects, for a run at the playoffs. In fact, they could still sell despite being in the position they are currently in.
