You skim reading #######! 150, and I've already talked to them and it sounds like you're even pushing their capacity with 100.

As for you other skim reading #######s, we've already got our reception booked, just need the ceremony.

MQS, some good ideas there, and actually a couple of the places I listed are old theatres, but not being from here you obviously didn't recognize the names. Outdoor is definitely possible, it's just June is the rainiest month of the whole year so it seems like you're kind of asking for it.

I think 5th Ave flyover has it... thanks for all the ideas.

I don't know if they would let you do a wedding, but SAIT heritage hall is old and interesting looking, secular, would fit that many people, and is decently central.

The room I was thinking of is apparently called "MacDonald Hall," and it sits a max of 200 in theatre style seating, so probably about the right size. Virtual tour here: http://sait.ca/campusresources/servi...ns/index.shtml

I've been to a wedding at Summerhill. Very nice. Very hot. We got married at Kopje Park in Lake Country last August. The parks are great too, but need a different location for reception. The wineries are nice cause can do everything all in one place.

I came up with two new ideas last night while I couldn't sleep.

On a float in the stampede parade. Make all your guest march in order behind you as I am sure there are regulations for having ~150 ppl on a float. You can get Scotiabank to sponsor it and Shawnski can DJ. You and misses Hulk would be on a spinning platform that raises up and down so all the kids can see you. Actual ceremony takes place at 5th st and 9th Ave. Your ushers will already have handed out rice to the parade watchers on that corner to throw at you have your first kiss.

Then Bigtime will call in the Snowbirds for a second flyover. Play your cards right and you may just be the 2013 Marshals - think about telling that story to the grandkids.

Option two - The peace bridge. There is plenty of room up that middle aisle area for you to have the ceremony. Don't worry about others because nobody really uses that bridge anyway, you can have it all to yourselves. Bonus - its covered, just hope for no westerlies.

None of these places will let you book for more than their interior capacity, as it may be 80km/h winds and snowing that day, who knows.
