Be sure not to strain too hard, that's how Elvis died.

The coupon sites very often have garbage removal guys for cheap, though be very cautious about overselling and refund policies, or you may end up with no junk removal and a donation to some guy's beer fund.

Renting a container, will cost almost $400 bucks.

Any ideas for a cheaper solution? We could haul it out ourselves, but it would probably take several trips to the dump, so I'm curious if there's a quicker solution.

How far do you live from the outskirts of town?

For larger dump trips I've paid the $30 for a day all in and gotten a Budget cargo van. Or pay another $14 and get the next level at Budget which is a small moving truck, doing it all in 1 trip.
Of course, it means getting your hands dirty again...

Don't use 310-DUMP.

Rent a couple of vans for the day and offer your friends a BBQ and some cold beers for helping you out. A buddy of mine did this a few years back and it was a huge success.

Maybe in Mayberry...

Ask my friends to do anything and they turn into the busiest people in the world.

I'm surprised to hear that. Over the years i've never turned down a friends request for help and they haven't when I asked.

This always seemed like such a cop-out to me. Don't get me wrong, I'll help my buddies out with stuff like this and vice-versa. Generally my friendship circles are fairly liberal with helping each other out, knowing that they'll be calling eventually too.

However, when it's blatantly packaged as: "come over for beers and help me move/pack/make a dump run/borrow your truck", you're offering a few beers and some burned hamburgers for a full days work so you can save $1500 on a moving company, or $300 for a garbage collection company. It just sounds brutal. Especially since the weekend before they came over for beers, and you didn't make them do any work.

I see nothing wrong with helping a friend save a good chuck of money. Especially when most people are struggling to make ends meet. Ohhh and I wouldn't serve burnt burgers as that would be an insult.

Why is it every time I go to take a dump, I leave a dump?

Maybe that post came out wrong. I don't see a problem with it at all. I'd just rather go and help a friend out for the sake of helping him out, instead of using a guise of beer and pizza for my efforts.
