For most cat operations, being comfortable on blacks is usually recommended.
remember, the powder is deep, and bottomless. If you fall, getting up is a challenge.

If you haven't skied in powder ever, I would be hesitant. Holding a group up when the snow is deep can break friendships, let alone client relationships.

This is very true, I've seen this in person... Remember, there will be those in the group that have paid big bucks, and will be looking to maximize their vertical.
Some of the older operations with slow cats, it was less of an issue, but the new cats get down pretty quick.
