Fort mcmurray is only rough these days because of some of the quick buck idiots crapping all over the town who started flooding in during the current boom. Lots of hard working people trying to make a good life there for themselves and their kids, always have been. Once the construction slows down, if it ever does, the transient guys will be SOL and it be just as good as any other cold as hell mid sized Alberta city again.

If you had moved to Fort Mac 2 years ago, would you really have bought property there?

Although not as ridiculous as now, it was still out of control. You would've thought to yourself, why are people spending so much on property in this place..it's bound to fall. You would've been wrong.
