Nice article. I've always liked the Wahl pick so much more than the Nemisz pick. It's unfortunate that the concussion knocked him out for most of last year. If I recall, he was a pretty big impact player for the Heat's initial playoff run in '10 when he came from Spokane and would have been a good injection of offense for last year's team.

Kid seams to have all the tools to be a big surprise, I'm just hoping he doesn't get derailed by concussions like Daniel Thacuk was.

I was stoked when we picked him in the 2nd round in 2008. At the time, he was one of the 'big name' second rounders, and we didn't go off the board. We pretty much chose the BPA.

Mitch Wahl is my favorite flames prospect. I expect him to go far.

I am very glad to see that he no longer looks like a murderous ventriloquist dummy.
