I came across a Tin Tin store in Paris as well. It was as we were walking between the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Parthanon. Sound familiar?

Do you mean the Pantheon? I remember it being near there on the south side of the Seine. My sister lived there for a while, so I cased that area pretty well.

Yeah, I could see Leo DiCaprio playing Tintin and Jonathan Frakes playing the sea captain!

Young Leo would have been good, but you need more of a boyish face for Tintin, not a fat face with eyes that are slowly disappearing behind layers of fat.

Je me souviens de regarder des films Tintin à l'école primaire, dans l'espoir de nous apprendre à parler français .... ça n'a pas très bien ..

Hate to agree with TylerSVT on something, but I never did understand the TinTin love either.
To me it's as entertaining as Family Circus.

Ha, me too. I never cared so much for the superhero stuff, but I used to scour the libraries for Asterix, and later Tintin. Loved that stuff.

Basic premise, Tintin is a good looking slim teenage boy that hangs out/lives with with 3 middle aged men on a boat, he also has a poodle like dog.
Do I need to say more?

I was never a big Tintin fan either, but I did love the Asteryx and Obelix books. Those were awesome.

Looking forward to this. I owned all the Tintin's when growing up, and read them over and over again.
As a coincidence, I just got my boy started on Tintin a few weeks ago and we happened to pick up Red Rackham's Treasure, followed by the Crab with the Golden Claws and the Secret of the Unicorn. He's going to love the movie, Haddock is his favorite character.

You see, in the initial quote BlackArcher had used the word "entertainment" as well as the title of the comic "Family Circus" in the same sentence. Now, I understand the context of his sentenced was to show the fact that Family Circus is in fact not entertaining. This is where I come in. Even though he was explaining that Family Circus is not by any means entertaining, the mere combination of both the words in the same sentence, despite the context did not, in fact, compute.
Ta da!
"That's the joke."
By the way, comparing TylerSVT to Karl Pilkington is an insult to Karl Pilkington. Not that Tyler isn't unintentionally funny, it's just he's not...Pilkington funny.
