Maybe you need to take your time machine into the shop and get it looked at?

Please don't taint my love for radiohead with mac. I don't want to think of Fanin80 every time I listen to them!

Every album on iTunes is $25, so you're probably right.

I haven't really liked anything since OK Computer (and I think that and the Bends are top 10 all time) outside of a few songs
but I will have to give this a listen

You can buy it now, and they'll send you the link by email as soon as the download is available.

Amazing! How can such a big band keep an album a secret and then just release it in a week?
You made my Monday OP!!

Pretty amazing that I would pull that number out of nowhere while making a small jab at Apple and have it end up correct!

I'm beyond amazed this was kept quiet until 5 days prior to release. In today's information age, that is a feat worthy of respect in itself. So excited.

Also, if you don't fork out the extra ~$4 for the .WAV files, you will be forever labeled a cheapass/punk.

What's the difference between wav and mp3? Wav is better quality?

Why would you pre-order something available digitally? It's not like there's going to be a finite number of copies available.

In short, yes. Mp3 is compressed, wav is not. The wav files will be identical to what is on the CD.
That said the mp3's are encoded at 320 kbps, which is a very high sampling rate. I very much doubt most people would be able to tell the difference between the wav and mp3s.

Yep. Compressed vs. uncompressed essentially. .WAV files are what they put on to CDs. Usually ~50 mb / song.

Yeah, yeah, more cracked. The secret album is #8

This is why I'm trying to cut back on Calgary Puck while at work!
OK Computer and In Rainbows are both VERY good albums (probably their best), and I have just made the special playlist to see how they mesh up.
My wife is a lot like some of the other people here - Pablo Honey was good, The Bends was great, OK Computer was... OK, and then they started to get weird. I beg to differ, of course, and I appreciate Radiohead more and more as time goes on - even their more experimental stuff.

huge, pleasant surprise.
I look forward to hearing about how this album sucks, how all of their albums sins OK/Bends/Pablo have sucked, how Radiohead are over rated, how Radiohead have the most pretentious fans ever, etc., etc., etc., and thoroughly not caring.

Can ipods play WAV natively, or does it have to be converted to another format?

I just put that playlist together as well and although I think its hogwash that the band intended any connection, it flows remarkably well. Its an interesting listen anyways.
I had no idea about layering those 3 Tool songs together from 10 000 days. Gonna try that at some point.

why does a kid try to sneak into his presents before Christmas?
...which I realize is heresy, as Radiohead album release day is a much bigger day than Christmas!
