Dancevic has won his two qualifying matches and qualified for the main draw in Miami.

He's on fire. Has won 9 consecutive matches in 9 days.

The New ATP rankings just came out as of March 19, 2012.

1. Milos Raonic - #26
2. Vasek Pospisil - #111 (career high!)
3. Frank Dancevic - #132
4. Erik Chvojka - #223 (career high!)
5. Peter Polansky - #227
6. Pierre Ludovic-Duclos - #231
7. Steven Diez - #302 (career high!)
8. Phillip Bester - #522
9. Milan Pokrajac - #777
10. Filip Peliwo - #827 (career high!)

Comments: Things are looking good for most of our Canadian players. Dancevic just won the Dallas Challenger, Polansky is on the rebound and Erik is showing good form as of late. Vasek, Erik, Frank, Steven are slowly going up the ranks . 4 of the top 10 Canadian players have reached career highs! I like that. I hope Erik and PLD crack top 200 at some point.

Peliwo won his first ever challenger match yesterday in Rimouski and is on his way to winning today as well. He's just turned 19! Quaterfinalist get 15 points. That may not sound like much but 15 points can get a player from the 800s to the 600s!

Dancevic wins again, 63 76 over Jeremy Chardy. That's 10 matches in a row!

He plays (8) Mardy Fish on Saturday.

(26) Milos Raonic plays the french veteran Arnaud Clement tomorrow

Surprised no one mentioned this but Raonic is playing doubles with Kevin Anderson and have moved on to the second round

http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Ra...309/story.html

Hopefully he can get the hang of doubles and really help us out in Davis Cup

I really don't enjoy how no one cares about streaming tennis until 3rd round. I can't find an online or television feed of Raonic match right now

Hard to tell if really sloppy play or a real back and forth first set but Milos wins in tie break 7-6. Only served 53% 10 aces. Was below 50% for most of the set

So it's up to Nestor on who he wants to take the Olympics with his as a doubles partner. You think he'll go with Pospisil? Or will he go with Raonic?

Raonic is almost a sure thing for the singles event, so perhaps Nestor will take Pospisil with him?

Here's a little more background: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...ontent=2367081

Raonic came out better in the second set serving 71% 7 more aces and won 6-2. I guess he just needed to find his groove!

in other news.

Peliwo won again! Into the semifinal of the Rimouski challenger where he will face Vasek Pospisil.
He's gone up maybe 300 ranks. 19 years old!

If you're curious here's footage from the Australian Open Boy's Final.

If Fed could win this tournament would he jump to number 2 in the rankings?

Yes unless Nadal makes the final as well.

Something missed yesterday. Pospisil won the Rimouski Challenger. His first ever ATP tournament win.

He is now currently ranked 100 in the world! On his way to Guadaloupe to play in another Challenger event.

what's with the crap TV coverage of Miami, don't some people call this the 5th slam? anyways, yeah shocker...from what I read Roddick played almost the match of his life to pull this off. good for him, but chances are he'll waste it by playing horribly next round.

well if no Fed in the final, fingers crossed for Djoker/Rafa XXXI.

sportsnet had to show Canada and Flames, not much choice there.

-Vasek out, as he goes up against a guy he has problems with in Carsten Ball

-Frankie D gets in as an alternative because the #1 seed withdrew, get's his spot and spanks a qualifier.

-Both Canadians advance in Mexico.

The quality of these challengers is extremely poor.
There was a guy in Mexico named Begemann (Germany) who hit 19 double faults.

AND WON!
