I like a lot of what I saw, just like the Oilers game other than the penalties. If the team plays like that every night they win more often than not

The game was a pathetic effort from a pathetic group. I like Johnny and Coleman. They played well tonight. Who else played Wel tonight? Backs is ok. Tanev has a boat anchor attached. They were up two one until a monohan late line change led to the tying goal. I have seen this team play to it’s inferior competitors level far too often these last few years. They don’t show these supposed lesser teams the killer instinct and let them hang around or in Ottawa’s case beat the snot out of us repeatedly. And the ducks picked second overall last year. They know who they are. Do we?

People tend to focus on what have you done lately for me lately. The past is not always a gaurentee of a future success. If it was Holland would still be the GM of Detroit and winning Cups also.

I'm not defensive about the Oilers, I hate them with a passion. However one of the reasons I hate them so much is due to the fact that they are in a better position to win than Calgary is.

Yes it is due to the fact that the were terrible for a very very long time. Which was so much fun to watch. But we cant really laugh at the playoffs and lack of futility when in all honesty since 2003-2004, The Flames and Oilers have pretty much the exact same amount of playoff success.

Man thats so incalculably asinine. Has Detroit won one since he left? No they are rebuilding because they were competitive for so long. You can’t stay competitive forever. You have to pick your spots. Like the oilers did. Like Pittsburgh does. Like Washington did. Like Boston does. To win in this league takes a lot of things to go right but offensive world class talent is a good start.

They could have 10 for all I care. I just look at the product they have to ice and don't see a Cup win in their future. McDavid is in his prime and should be winning Cups like Crosby did in Pittsburgh.
