I'm not usually hard on Bennett, but that's just a very safe hockey play, after being in a good spot to get the puck and generating speed, he goes across the ice into a corner and runs out of idea. Drive the net and generate something there.

It was both defense jumping on early, and one was at the blue line before both were off and can be argued disrupting the play. A bad change for both d to come off like that.
