^^ Other than that one scene: zzzzzz

I've been pretty bored with this season so far.

I'm with you, I'm not really finding myself caring about any of the storylines. And they are really making me like dislike Don. He was always the flawed protagonist, but I am just not seeing any redeeming qualities in him any more.

So far, with the episodes this season- it almost feels to me like they're building up to something absolutely huge... but in order to get there we have to be lulled into sleep first!

The story telling has been top notch, as always. Don taking his son to see Planet of the Apes was great, I loved that moment. The integration of major moments and how it effects the characters is so well done. The confusion when one person yelled out King had been assassinated was brilliant. It put you in that confusing moment, as an audience we were in the midst of the confusion. The yelling match between Harry and Pete was great too.

I thought it was a strong episode.

Yep. All sorts of things going on. Finally a little payoff for having to suffer through the first 5 hours of the season.

When Peggy walks into Ted's office to asking about Chevy, and hears Don's voice saying "We got it" might have been the highlight of the season so far. The look on her face. Just awesome.

As for Peter meeting his Father in law in the brothel? Peter is experiencing what perhaps should have happened to season one or two Don. It will be interesting to contrast the results.

And can we all agree that Stan's beard has officially made everyone forget about Sal?

I wondered about that, but it was after I posted. So I left it. But in hindsight all Sal's character was based on was closeted Gay man. Which was interesting enough, but their wasn't much else to his character.

When the older guy with the thick brim glasses at Peggy office was complaining about the artwork it reminded me of Sal. I'm kinda surprised they never followed up that story at all.

The Stonewall riots are coming up in this period of history ... maybe we'll see Sal then. It would likely be next season though since it happened in 1969.

Wow, the crumbling of the facade that is Don Draper. The root weakness on display for everyone.

That firing scene might have been the greatest scene of the entire series. Loved it!

Roger is on fire this year so far.

People have been speculating where things were going with Bob. I doubt anyone saw him as a potential love-interest for Joan.
