The anthem should break more often during matches. Especially hockey.

For example in other sports like soccer and rugby, the English also sing God Save the Queen when the 2nd half starts. They also sing a bunch of other songs.

Wow yesterday was the first day I didn't see any Oly coverage, looks like it was a good thing. Just caught the replay of the Hamelin race this morning, I didn't know what happens. Are you freakin kidding me?? 2 Canadians in a 5 person final, in Canada, and no medals?? Come ON guys! Seriously, can you see that happening to any other host country?? So frustrated right now...

I didn't know about the bobsled thing either until I just read it on here, ugh I don't even want to see that replay. I swear Canadians have no killer instinct outside of hockey.

Just announced that figure skater Joannie Rochette's mother died of a sudden heart attack upon arriving in Vancouver. Rochette will still compete.

Oh man more bad news.....

The mother of Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette died last night of a heart attack after just arriving in Vancouver to watch Joanie skate. She was only 55. Joannie will still be competing on Tuesday/Thursday. Sad.

Beaten to it. How tragic for Rochette and she is a strong medal contender too.

Ski Cross...Davey Barr gets through to QF after the top two in his race crash into each other on the second to last jump.

Nerve wracking to watch!

Del Bosco advances to the final 16! 3 Canadians in the final 16. Hayer and Del Bosco will be in the same race (QF#4).
