Sure, the goaltending can be much better, but this team also does a great job of making these other goalies look like vezina winners. You have to start asking why these other net-minders keep having so many great nights against this team. It's not merely a coincidence at this point.

No one cares about the Panthers, the point is irrelevant.

Stop being tone deaf and celebrate your team elsewhere. Or at least learn timing.

Fair enough. I agree that Calgary's shooters are playing tight. But I'm not as fussed about the other goalies having great nights. It's Calgary's goaltending that is the issue. contant sub .900 save percentages doesn't equal success. The three goals against Jarry last night should have been enough though (even though they could have had three more if they didn't grip the stick so hard). Gillies didn't look good.

You can't really compare Florida drafting 1, 2, 3 and 3 in a five year span with Calgary's draft position. Not to mention each of those picks, outside of maybe Gudbrandson, being a no-brainer pick.

Calgary has picked 6,4,6 in 4 years, and nailed two of those picks IMO. Plus, they made those picks more recently than Fla, which should definitely be in the "window" based on when they started this path with three picks in the first round (2010).

I'm too fragile mentally to even acknowledge the fact that other teams, even ones I don't follow or care about, might make the playoffs instead of the Flames. Therefore I'm going to act all agro to hide my insecurity.

yeah that's it, not that some fan from some other team is gloating about his success in a thread full of pissed off Flames fans.

I mean, I guess that could be the translation, but considering we miss the playoffs more than we make them and 16 teams make them a year, it's something we're used to.

When I'm on another team's forum circle jerking about how my #### team is an "inspiration", you can whip out your translator all you want.

Flames are above the Panthers in the standings...why is this even being discussed in the PGT?

Congrats to Florida on their geography though

If you get on a run and make it interesting, even better.

Three game road trip with the toughest game first, got a point. Now if they can get four more they may make things a little more tight coming home.

No moral victories in a season like this, but they played well and deserved the two points.
This is actually the excat type of thing a Flames PR guy would come out and say. Are you employed by the Flames org by any chance?

Was any of it untrue?

But, no, you're right - no one should have a positive outlook or state any circumstances where the Flames can stay in the race. Of course getting a point from the champs on the road and now having two games against Buffalo and Ottawa means they are doomed on this trip.

Here it comes ....

The I'm Pissed Off So How Dare You Get In The Way of My Negative Rant crew coming out to throw punches.

Yes I'm on the payroll and an apologist.

Thanks for the attack.

I have a 20 year track record for not being a ditch to ditch hockey fan. I don't get that high and I don't get that low. You should try it some time. Your way doesn't seem to be working.

It was true. But the Flames aren't missing the playoffs because of this game. And I think that you would agree, that the fans are right to be ticked off that the team is going to miss the playoffs.

I actually admire Bingo that he can be so positive and optimistic.

Yeah right.

People generally don't show admiration by suggesting they are bought and paid for by the team or an apologist.

I'm not pissed off, actually. I have forseen this months ago.

And certainly, I am not throwing punches.
Do you even have a low?

It's eerily familiar to the media 300km north of Calgary who seem to think their team can do no wrong and it's just all bad luck.

Oh man. Flames fans fighting with each other. This is no fun.

Optimistic or pessimistic, is it fair to say we have arrived in "must win" territory? Flames absolutely need a burst to get back in the mix, starting now.

I sure as hell don't want him involved at the draft table...not that we have much activity there though. If he is going to get canned, do it immediately after the Flames season is over. Surely Tre has enough of an inkling already what he is going to do.

Here we go again. Gotta rip on Bingo who has a level head because people like you seem to lose your #### day in and day out.

Every sane and rational person who tries to look at the next step all of a sudden works for the company because they're not mentally fragile. It's seriously the most pathetic response.

How much do they pay? I'm a-okay with becoming a Flames shill in exchange for some tickets.
