Wrong. It was an even first period, and I might even give the Flames the edge in the first in terms of overall play.

Both teams have had stretches where they've carried the play because of mistakes being made by the other team. Just happens that Detroit has capitalized more than Calgary has. Like I said, it's a fine line.

I started really noticing this during the St Louis game yesterday but Colborne has been the worst I've ever seen him. Every single time he get's the puck on his stick he proceeds to kill the play. I'm not sure what it is but it looks like he is panicking out there. And what does Hartley do? Continuously reward him by putting him on the number 1 powerplay.
