[GT] Flames at Kraken 12/28/2022

Lucic has actually been pretty decent on that line lately, but it's pretty obvious this team needs another offensive weapon in that spot instead. Hopefully Treliving can get a trade figured out sooner than later.

Huberdeau could have obviously been better on that Kraken goal, but he's been sneaky good defensively this season.

Huberdeau facked up on that goal..he has the best defensive metrics on the team for a forward though

He's been solid, but now that we know Ruzicka has been ill lately I wonder if Lucic there is simply a placeholder until Rosie is ready for more minutes again

I'd be ok with Mangiapane sitting a couple of games and letting Phillips see what he can do.


And really wish Anderson would shoot the puck more from the point - to many cute hesitant passes

I only tuned in for the second period, but the Kraken solidly controlled the balance of the 5v5 play. Vladar is why it's tied.

I thought the Flames were a lot better in the 1st. The 2nd was mostly Seattle. I thought most of the defensive breakdowns on that line were because of Huberdeau and not Lucic, that said I am all for trying someone else in Lucic's spot Ruzicka comes to mind.

Possibly, that would be fine with me. Still not sure he's the solution there either, but it would be nice.

Phillips can score in the AHL.

Yah - it's kinda odd..Looch is actually surprisingly good at getting to the puck behind the net and digging it out. His problem, more often than not, is that he's not actually getting it to one of his guys...or not to a guy in position to shoot (that is also their problem).

Right kind of idea....wrong player doing it. His big body helps, but his stone hands hinder.

Yeah and Lewis is hurt apparently too so he can't take a ton of draws.
