Man it is tough to work this week. Can't stop thinking about Thursday.
I hope they get that power play dialed in this week. We aren't going anywhere if it doesn't start to click.

Tell me about it. I got finals all this week until the 24th. The added stress of a tight series may make my head explode lol

Out of all the teams that made the playoffs in the west I think this is the best match up for the Flames. However, Colorado has been on a tear just to get in, while the Flames rested guys the last couple weeks. We've seen what long breaks do to this team and my concern is that they may have signs of rust and nerves opening at home on Thursday. I worry about them losing the first game. That being said, if we can lock up MacKinnon with 3M + Brodano for most of the series, I see no reason why the Flames' depth shouldn't overcome this first round challenge. Flames in 6, GFG!

Might as well stay with the Z's and go Zadorov. Plus he seems like he mentally weak and could be forced into making mistakes.
I know Ricci is with the Sharks front office, but he played a chunk in Colorado so a Ricci's ugly could also work.

Neal needs to get in that spot on a regular basis and good things will happen

I like Tim and Sid and feel they outdo most of the eastern media guys, but that was pretty stupid this afternoon.
Three Canadian teams in the playoffs and they bumped the Flames part from a 2 hour show and said we'll talk about them once the playoffs start.

Looks like NBCSN is actually sending a crew to Calgary for game one. We get the old TSN duo Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro. Not bad if I can't have Ball

WCQF: Your Calgary Flames (P1) vs Colorado Avalanche (WC2)
I’m watching the TSN.Fantasy Draft show. Johnny Gaudreau is the first Flames player picked by Jeff O’Niell in the fifth round @ number 20. Players from TB, Boston, St Louis, Winnipeg, Washington, Pittsburgh all picked ahead of him. All pundits agree that the Flames v. Colorado first round series is a toss-up.

Some people are under the allusion the Blues are playing some amazing hockey. I don’t buy it, they’ve lost to some bad teams over the past month and benefited from an underachieving western conference. I understand picking players from the other teams before the Flames due to past playoff performances, but the Blues are being way overhyped by many analysts, especially considering they have not proven to hold up well in the playoffs. Blues lost to the Coyotes, Sens, and Sabres in the last 3 weeks

It is probably a good thing for a young team with little playoff experience as a group to not have a huge national spotlight, let alone be expected to have an easy win against the last seed. I am perfectly happy with the flames quietly doing their job.

The Avs had 6 more points than the disaster GG Flames of last season...in a "normal" season they are not a playoff team

Flames should roll over the Avalanche.
Colorado only has one line. That line would have to go supernova to make it close.

since Jan.1.
30-10-5
Beat Tampa twice, Washington twice, Nashville three times, 8 other playoff teams.
Binnington is 24-5-1 with a 930 save% and 1.83 GAA
They are rolling.

Sure let's go with the Sharks out west.

Appeared in the finals a couple years ago, and they're "that team that landed Erik Karlsson" even though they probably don't know that he's been mediocre to bad this season.
