That interview of Jermaine with Sven makes the kid sound like a punk again.

why would you go a head and say that? As a goalie you need to instill confidence in your team that you can stop the puck. There is a reason why Curtis Mchilenny (no idea how to spell that) couldnt win a single game with the Flames.

Claiming you are playing injured kinda kills your team's confidence in you, which is never a good thing. Especially in the middle of a playoff series. There is a reason why teams do not disclose injuries at this point in the year. Teams will hone in on weaknesses and exploit them. And that is something you definitly dont disclose right before an elimination game where your back is against the wall.

Especially when he's been given the start.

Please tell me there is another interview with Jermaine Franklin where he sounds like a punk because it wasn't the one from today.

(I do think he earned an NHL job in training camp this year, and it's just too bad that in most professions you don't need to live up to the standard of the guy you are trying to replace, you need to exceed it, but that's life).
Given Baertschi explicitly said that he didn't care what number he wore, and initially only stuck with 47 because of people who bought jerseys with that number, it is rather obvious that Team1040 is desperately searching for a new angle to the story.

Yeah, that seemed like a pretty plain interview. No bulletin board material there.

I'm all for the Sven interviews.

I think he should be interviewed once an hour, on the hour, until game time.

I think his teammates should be interviewed about what they think about Sven's interview comments.

I think Vancouver's twitter stream should be asking fans how many Flames Sven will stickhandle through on his first shift.

I think Sven should be interviewed after the 1st period intermission.

I think Desjardins should be asked about Sven during his in-game interview.

I think Bieksa should be asked about Sven during the 2nd period intermission.

The more Sven the better... for the Flames.

Yeah, strange story. Which speaks to either the Vancouver media digging or Sven's sensitivity to the issue.

27 was his junior number, 47 was just the random number rookie players are assigned. Like Bennet's 93, Jooris' 86, and Ferland's 79.

Baertschi, expected to make the team, was allowed a lower number, so went back to 27.

If you think Sven is an annoying problem, wait until we play Kesler in the 2nd round.

I agree with this. He can't handle the pressure IMO and will break on the ice. This should be a fun night as long as Richardson doesn't come back in and take his spot. Sure sounds like he is playing though.

I don't think Kesler will be an annoying problem. He is a good player and has done will for the Ducks. I doubt he gets as much attention as Sven has the last couple of months.

Oh Kesler and the Ducks, we shouldn't be worrying about him just yet.

We shouldn't be discussing the Second Round until the First Round is in the bag - bad karma!
