Its crazy how much holding and obstruction Zetterberg gets away with. The refs were terrible last night.

A team wins the cup every season. Chances are a fair bit of players in the league will have their name on the cup but IMO that doesn't automatically make them a proven winner as a lot of players can have a career season and never be able to replicate it. The Sedins won back to back presidents trophies and came a game from winning the cup. Are they proven winners? A proven winner is someone like Zetterberg that always bring their best stuff in the playoffs not guys that have one majic season and then never play up to that level again. Since 2004 Richards has been on a lot of mediocre teams and hasn't won a thing. Tha is anything but a proven winner IMO.

Yeah I don't understand why the officials have put their whistles away and let the hockey return to pre-2004 lockout hockey levels of clutch and grab in this series. Hawks were getting mugged at times last night.

Ya that one clip of Zetterberg literally holding Toews stick for 10 seconds from behind the net to the front was mind boggling. He is the worst in the league for that kind of stuff yet never gets called for it. On top of that the missed penalty shot, which was one of the more obvious penalty shot calls I've ever seen. Detroit definitely gets the benefit of the doubt with the officials at the Joe.
I still say Hawks in 7

Agree 100%. And I used to like Toews until the lock out and now I can't stand him, happy to see him melt down.

Agree Zetterberg gets away with the holding of the stick quite often compared to most players.
Several of his turnovers are created this way.
It has become part of his game and the refs just won't call it.
I think the Hawks will win the next home game but they have dug themselves too deep of a hole and Detroit wins the series in game 6.

The Sedins get away with that a lot also. It's pretty annoying how officials seem to turn a blind eye to certain players based on reputation.

I hate 'em too but I hate Chicago more. For all the bs that the Wings get away with they have never really behaved like the Hawks from a few years ago. Laughing openly at teams as they rolled up the score, Keith and Seabrooke running guys and cheap shotting with regularity, snivelers like Burish running their mouths endlessly and Quenville seemingly unwilling or unable to reel any of it in. Nope I hate the Hawks lots more.

I will definitely be watching NBC. This is quite an upset if the Red Wings close the series tonight. Here are the preview game links.

Detroit is such a dirty chippy team, hope Chi can somehow come back and take the series.
