Yes indeed. Being built between windsor and detroit, so Gordie makes a bit more sense in that context.

Many probably know this, but it just occurred me Captain Batel is played by the same actress who played Wynonna Earp!

Really enjoyed that one.
Doesn’t get much more vintage Trek than that.

I watched it at 1:00am when it went up on Crave, but I try to wait to comment until later in the day when more people have had a chance to watch it.

Strong follow up after last week dud. Filled with classic trope but good takes on it. Reminded me a lot of that voyager episode with chakotay and 7 but not ####ty. Lol executed correctly.

Very enjoyable. I like episodes with sci-fi stuff in them.

The tease is half the fun.
Not going to lie though, that actress? When she doesnt get to go on Away Missions her expression actually hurts.
Sorry Ortegas....

But he was in this episode?
I like that the focus is on the entire crew.

I like the focus on the crew, but it just seemed like Pike was noticeably absent the first three episodes, like actor wasn't available or something.

Norm!

I loved this episode because the actor who played Spock and Anson got to stretch their comedy legs.
You had to feel nothing but bad for poor Christine through this episode but she ended up winning big in the end.
this would normally be one of those throw away light hearted episodes and the next one would be incredibly dark with a main character getting butchered.

One of the things I like best about SNW is that people don’t get “butchered”.
Its just unfathomable how bad, violent, and stupid Discovery and Picard were in comparison to this show.
I suppose you could simply say “SNW is Star Trek. The others weren’t.”
Even a goofy episode like this was fun, because you have empathy for the characters. I guenuinely like and respect all of them.
