Dirty is definitely the wrong word on my side - but it’s illegal regardless.

I mean, yes, but you need to take into account the context.
If the Chicago player hadn't dropped down a second before the hit, it wouldn't have been.
You can even see klapka tuck his elbow in tighter just before contact because he realizes the situation, but can't stop the hit.

What exactly was illegal? Didn't charge, or hit high, or elbow, or high stick.
He went to hit him legally and Murphy went down at the very last second.
I fail to see what he could have done differently.

Intent doesn’t matter.
Guys, the penalty is for any hit to the head. Regardless of intent, it’s a standard hit to the head penalty. Severity (minor vs. major) is up to ref (which is where intent/force etc) comes in as far as I know.
