Berra is so strange to me. He makes some incredible saves and, at times, looks like a legitimate NHL goalie. Then he does that.

Berra is only good in shootouts.

Stand on your head outstanding saves for 99% of a game, but with the obligatory team-deflating bed-sh*tter of a goal mixed in.
Ladies and gents, I give you Reto Berra.

If Backlund can play a whole season at this level we are gonna be in for good times.

Consistency is what separates an NHL goalie from the rest.

Gah! This is the most frustrating thing about Berra. He'll make an unreal save one second then let in a weak one like that the next. If he could just mentally tighten up a bit on those everyday chances.

He looks more and more like Ryan Kessler (minus the whining, complaining, cheapshots and bull####).
Guy is going to be a stud in this league if he keeps developing.

Unacceptable goal on Berra. This guy still has a long way to go before he's considered an NHL calibre goaltender. He's just so ridiculously inconsistent. One minute he's making incredible game-saving saves, and then the next minute he's letting in stinkers like that.

I suppose that's true. I've really wanted to support Berra as I think he has the skills to be an NHL goalie. But - more and more he's showing he doesn't have the consistency to be here. I hope he can figure it out, but I don't know how much longer of a chance he should get (if any).

Every time Berra does that I give him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to inexperience, confident that he'll leave the "one weak goal per game" thing behind him next game...but every time he proves me wrong.

Still a shot at that hat-trick. Maybe an EN?
